This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and how we keep it safe. MyHouse Page is based in the Netherlands and processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. What we collect
- Account details: the name and email you provide when you sign up.
- Property page content: details, descriptions, host bio, and media you add or import to your house pages.
- Imported listing data: when you import from a third-party platform (e.g. Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO), we collect the title, bedroom count, guest capacity, description, one cover photo, and address of the listing you provide. Imported descriptions and host bios are automatically rewritten before publishing.
- Verification data: phone number and email are verified via a one-time code sent by SMS or email. If you opt in to the Verified badge, we may also process bank-account name-matching data (e.g. via a small refundable transfer) to confirm it matches your registered host name.
- Reports: if a page is reported, we collect the report reason and related correspondence for review.
2. Why we collect it
- To create and run your account and public house pages.
- To verify contact details and reduce the risk of fraudulent listings.
- To provide the optional Verified badge.
- To review reported pages and respond to support requests.
- To keep the service secure and functioning.
3. Legal basis
We process this data to perform our contract with you (running your account and pages), to meet our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and misuse, and, for the Verified badge, based on your explicit consent.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your data. Your public listing details are shown only on the pages you choose to publish. We use third-party processors (such as import/scraping and verification service providers) strictly to operate these features, under appropriate data processing terms.
5. Retention
We retain your account and page data for as long as your account is active. Verification and report data is retained only as long as needed for fraud prevention and legal purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and the app working. No tracking for advertising.
7. Security
We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, but no system is perfectly secure.
8. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can edit or delete your listings at any time. To exercise any of these rights or request deletion of your account, contact our support team.
9. Contact
